| Evaluation Project |

| The Evaluation Project is a MSVC++ project that contains
the Front End Module in a library along with the Application and Device
Driver files . This allows the features and capabilities of the Front End
Module to be evaluated . It provides the means to develop Application side
Functional Modules and their User Interface side scripts . The scripts are
developed using the Applications Scripts Project . They can then be executed ( displayed ) by using the executeable in the
Evaluation Project . A
full description of the IDF commands is contained in the Manual
. The application and script files supplied provide examples of how to construct
the scripts and to link to the application . |

and extract the files . |

the purpose of the Front End Module is to handle
the Layout and the Data Input and to Define the Rendering but not
to handle the rendering . The rendering is handled by the GDI functions
. As such the quality of the rendering is dependent on the quality
of these functions . The Display Device Driver - GDI - supplied with
this project is just a basic GDI designed to provide a means to test
and demonstrate the operation of the Front End Module . |

The Module is written in ANSI C and is designed
for Embedded Platforms . It is supplied in source code form . |

if you are downloading a new copy of the Front End
Module it is important to also download the latest copy of the Application
Scripts Project and to re-compile your scripts . |

| Please Note :- the Module is currently being
converted over to C++ . This is basically complete . Debugging has commenced
. Tidying up and expansions will be carried out when time permits - in between
other work commitments . |
