World Computers Ltd. was initially formed in 1995 as a contracting and consulting company working mainly in embedded software development . In late 1999 it was changed into a company also developing embedded software components . The first components being released early 2000 . In 2005 it became a company designing project architectures and managing project development .
 
One of the specialities of the company is to provide technology and services within the Remote Application and Distributed Processing markets . The Front End Module - apart from being a general module useable in many applications - also features the ability of the User Interface design being remotely down loadable . The company is extensively skilled in RTOS and COS based component development for single and multiple processor platforms .
 
The company has extensive expertise in User Interface development , Data Communications , fundamental issues of embedded software development - operating system design etc. , the creation of new technology and major project developmement . 1) Graduated in 1983 with a 4 year degree in Communications Engineering from the Western Australian Institute of Technology ( Curtin University - www.curtin.edu.au ) . The degree was broadly based , heavy in sciences and included a lot of hardware and software engineering units . British born and resident in Europe. .
2) Has gained over 27 years of experience in the industry . About 85% of this has been in the embedded side - mainly software development but some hardware development as well - covering a wide range of technological ( including extensive work in Internet Protocols , Device Drivers and Front Ends ) and product areas . The remaining 15% has been in applications software development . Has worked on Editors and Assemblers , Computer Security , Video Editing Controllers , Digital T.V. Set Top Boxes , Mobile Phones ,  Defense Applications , Transport Ticketing , Digital Cameras and Land Line Telecommunications , Device and Packet Drivers , General Embedded Software and Operating Systems and Single Chip Solutions .
3) Has worked for a number of major UK , French , Belgian , German , Japanese , U.S. and Australian international and multinational companies .
4) Is very creative - has developed the GUI Front End Module.
5) and has 3 patents ... 1 , 2 & 3 ... for Retrospective Token Bus Protocols .
6) Has developed expertise in a number of software areas - data communications - multimedia - user interfaces - which are now being brought into the company's products .
 
Kim Lyon During the last 27 years has developed User Interfaces , GUI front ends and Multi Media components both for private projects and for client's projects . Has , consequentially , gained a lot of experience as to what customers requirements are in User Interfaces and GUI front ends . It is this experience plus the use of advanced software techniques that have been brought to bear in the development of the Front End Module . Extensive experience has also been gained in embedded software engineering , device driver development , data communications and protocol stack development .

The aim is to provide a quality , full featured and cost effective product that allows the company's clients to easily and quickly get their user interfaces up and running and to save a lot of money at the same time .
